Coupler is DoubleTom's submission for GMTK Game Jam 2021. You play as m0n170r, our friendly heroic robot who must save the city from the evil Dr Dred. 

A Tower Defence game with an electrical twist! You must use the local energy grid to power your defence turrets against Dr Dred's robot army! Be warned, you only have a limited number of power outlets to connect to your defences. 

Dr Dred has developed multiple robots which are only susceptible to certain elemental damage. Make sure you power the correct defensive towers to destroy the robots! 

Controls

This game uses keyboard and mouse.

W, A, S, & D - Moves character

Left Click - For use in the buy menu

E - Opens buy menu (when near build pad). Connects and Disconnects power lines to turrets (when in proximity).

About this Project

This is our second Game Jam and we've had a lot of fun making this project. A massive thanks to everyone at GMTK that has made this happen and we hope to join many more in the future. 

The project is in a relatively stable state and should be playable from start to finish but there may be an issue with the bullets shooting to fast for some users. Please let us know if you find any major bugs and we'll try our best to fix them post-jam. 

We've added downloadable builds for Windows, Linux and Mac.

If we had a little more time we would have loved to have made our own music and would have took a bit more time polishing up the level design and over all making the game look a little nicer. Big thanks to anyone that tries the game!
